EAL (English as an Additional Language)

At Jells Park Primary School we have many students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

For students recently arrived in Australia, or those who speak very little English at home, we offer small group lessons once or twice a week to support their English language development.

Many of our students initially attend either the Blackburn or Noble Park English Language School.  They offer an intensive 6 month program with all lessons and specialist subjects taught in English.  This course enables students to settle into our school, make friends and learn with the support of the EAL program.
