Our Facilities

Set in the leafy heart of Wheelers Hill, just a stone’s throw from the largest metropolitan park in Melbourne, Jells Park Primary School is fortunate to have excellent facilities, including large outdoor spaces and many recently refurbished buildings.

Administration Building

Our Administration Building recently underwent significant renovations. We were very fortunate to receive a generous grant from the state government to perform most of the works. The Administration building houses the main office, OSHClub, a large general purpose room, staff room, toilets, the art room and the library.

While over 40 years old, it now looks fresh and inviting.

The Early Learning Centre (ELC)

Our Early Learning Centre is a purpose designed space that offers our Foundation students the best possible environment in which to spend their first year of school. It includes separate learning areas as well as larger community areas where the whole year level can gather together.

Students in the ELC have internal access to the junior toilets.

Junior School & Courtyard

Our Level 2 building is at the centre of our Junior school. Recently refurbished with naturally lit common areas and large learning spaces, this is the perfect place for students to grow and develop. The Junior school buildings are positioned along two sides of a large leafy courtyard which forms the central point of the entire school.

Gym & Canteen

Jells Park Primary School was lucky to receive funding for a new gymnasium building as part of the federal government’s stimulus package. It was opened in 2011. This is a wonderful asset for the school and includes meeting rooms, offices and canteen facilities, with a full sized basketball/netball court.

Senior Building

The Senior Building houses Levels 4-6 and has large, bright, open plan spaces suited to the needs of older students.

Students have easy access straight on to the oval and individual lockers down the internal corridor.

Grounds

Our outside areas include two separate playgrounds, one suited to younger students and one for older students, an all-weather oval with artificial turf, cricket nets, a fitness track, a basketball court and several other outside areas for students to enjoy.
